We managed a project of top interior design in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, more precisely in the city of Los Gatos, for this beautiful villa, in the hills of Santa Clara County.

The villa is located in Silicon Valley, yet it is situated in a quieter corner, nestled in lush green nature.
Walking through the trees, one is greeted by this stately villa, whose architecture reveals inspiration from classical Greek art, with its round arches and facades reminiscent of those majestic ruins that can be seen in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, Sicily.

Crossing the threshold, you are welcomed by high-end modern furnishings, selected down to the smallest detail.
They not only compose the space of individual elements, but also enrich the atmosphere with lights and vibrations that give the impression of a place detached from everything, an oasis of peace and serenity.

Therefore, for the interior we have chosen furnishings that can channel these vibrations.

Handling a space with luxury furniture in San Francisco means not just using furnishings, but also employing lights and colors for the interior of the house, as indeed we do here in our beloved Italy.

Therefore, in our research we tried to favor the most delicate and edgeless shapes as well as the most candid and gentle nuances, keeping in mind where they would be placed and how the rooms we would furnish were related to each other.
All of this to create an organic effect, carefully considering the lighting and the arrangement of shapes in the space and create a calm and refined mood.

So we chose the Boheme sofa, by Rugiano, for the family room, which is a decidedly more secluded and well-lit room, an ideal space for convivial moments.
As for the sitting room, it was necessary to opt for something with a more functional, “smarter” design, and so we opted for the Marteen seating system, signed by Molteni.

This project of top interior design for this villa in San Francisco also placed great emphasis on the emotions and lifestyle evoked by the furniture.

After all, a simple but chic lifestyle is distinguished through the smallest details, and in our vision there was no room for trivialities; comfort must proceed in unison with beauty and craftsmanship perfection.

For the family room we therefore opted for a palette of shades of gray, making the Otto table, signed by Cornelio Cappellini, the true visual core of the room thanks to its swirling and eye-catching texture.

Finally, we took advantage of the sharp, precise geometries of the Nautilus modular seating system and Perla chairs, both by Rugiano, to give the illusion of “a room within a room”, even if there are no walls separating the family room from the breakfast nook, with which it communicates.

Also for the lobby we tried to compose the illusion of a secluded space to communicate intimacy and relaxation using the shapes of the furniture.
Therefore, we took advantage of the sharp and precise design of the On The Rocks sofa, by Edra, to establish imaginary lines with which to demarcate the space.

Similarly, for the office we opted for a refined décor rather than simply opulent.
We wanted to create a space that communicated the luxury and lifestyle that comes from the typical Made in Italy aesthetic.

For this reason, we have selected furnishings signed by Rugiano, such as the Coline desk and Opera armchairs, which stand out for their delicate design, according to a minimal yet sophisticated concept.

Handling the outdoor luxury furniture, on the hills of San Francisco

When dealing with a villa located in such an exclusive and privileged location, it is essential to carefully balance the shapes and colors of the outdoor furniture in order to achieve harmony between the solemn stillness of the living space and the changing energy of the surrounding nature.

In this case, the outdoors is impressive, enriched not only by a large swimming pool but especially by the breathtaking view of the nature surrounding the villa.
While the nuance between gray and bluish of the flooring, especially in the hottest hours, gives the space a real tone of relaxation.

To go along with these vibrations, we selected furniture complements that would communicate to the client the ease, peace of mind and body, but above all the serenity of living in a house whose furnishings were custom selected for them.
So we chose, from Flexform’s catalog, two outdoor sofas and two dormeuses, both from the Vulcano collection, plus Freeport daybed.

A non-invasive design and finishes that match the outdoor flooring but, at the same time, picked to look at their best when illuminated by the sun.
