Zanotta's Derby Armchair is a seating implement inspired by a product that somehow serves the same purpose, albeit in different capabilities. Designed by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance, this armchair takes its cues from horse saddles. From its shape to its seams, the Derby Armchair resembles the equestrian tool at certain angles as the sinuous curves of the Zanotta Derby bring a comforting ambience about its form, enticing any spectator to rest on its tranquil surface. Despite the traditional mindset prevalent in its design, the Derby Armchair has no problems situating itself into modern design schemes.
