Indochine Cassina Description
The Cassina Indochine Chair is a swivel armchair that is a revised version of the LC7 chair designed by Charlotte Perriand as well. It was part of an exhibit with other furniture pieces that Perriand co-designed with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret for the 1929 Salon d’Automne in Paris. Initially made in Vietnam in 1943, the Indochine utilized materials and crafts techniques available during that war-time period. Cassina has re-issued the Indochine Chair in full respect of its initial design, reworking its schematic to incorporate wooden elements instead of the metal framework that was the basis of its prototype.
