The Capitol Complex Table of Cassina is an item that fuses modern production methods to timeless furniture designs. This chair is one of the most recognizable furniture pieces in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, originally intended to furnish the Legislative Assembly Building. This table, created as a tribute to Pierre Jeanneret, is reimagined by Cassina with the help of master carpenters in Meda. Cassina's Capitol Complex based its image on the furniture pieces that populated Chandigarh's government compound, which architect Le Corbusier designed. "V" support structures filled the rooms of this building; seen in furniture pieces such as the chairs and tables. This image became the main concept of the product. The frame of this table comes in solid oak or Burmese teak. This component consists of two solid wood elements in the “cornes entrecroisées” shape, giving the table its appearance. The worktop of this item comes in glass or wood.
